You will realize how important is coffee to Vietnamese when you are walking on their street.
There are coffee stalls everywhere, in every street, and anytime there are customers siting on the small chair and enjoy the coffee, from 6Am to 12PM.
My first try of Vietnamese coffee is “OMG~ that is toooo sweet”, however this is how Vietnamese coffee taste like.
Despite of the “too sweet”, the Vietnamese coffee has their own taste that you can never find in other kinds of coffee, regardless is $0.80 food court coffee or $8 Starbucks coffee.
To share with those KOPI KAKI(coffee gangs) in my family, I bought half a KG of the Vietnamese coffee, that comes with the free stainless steal coffee filter. This cost me 160,000 VND.
The lady that selling coffee bean can speak Vietnam(of course), English, Mandarin & my wife is actually heard she speaking some Korean language to 1 of the korean customer. thats amazing.
This is how the filter looks like.
When I decided to make the coffee myself, I realized that I don’t know how to do it, not a big deal, lets STFG
Found this youtube clip, that demos how to make the coffee with milk.
Of course for Long Black, just need the sugar instead of the milk.
Tried the coffee just now, for half cup of the coffee, with 2 tea spoon of coffee powder & 2 tea spoon of sugar(yes, 2 tea spoon) , feel like too light, however the taste quite similar with what I had in Vietnam. Will put in 3 tea spoon of coffee powder on my next try.
Finally back to hotel, will more than 10 KG of stuffs & very tired leg.
Basically full day of eat, drink & shopping..
Iced Coffee & beef noodle soup, the ice coffee is too sweet..not sure if they understand “xiu dai” here…
333 Beer, Local brew, feel too light event it stated contains 6.5% of alcohol..
A must-drink beverages in Vietname..Sinh To(coconut mix with different kinds of fruit)
Finally bought myself a backpacker bag..cheap and good
Things to be pack..hopefully can control within my checkin luggage limit, its only the first day..
Bought a day tour package to Mekong River tomorrow, will be a full day tour from 8AM to 6PM, its longer than my working hour…Hopefully can take some nice pictures back.
My flight to Vietnam is tomorrow 7:15, and I don’t even start to pack anything yet.
OMG thats sound so wrong, did I even get excited of it?
It is not me, usually I start to plan what to bring, what to do(yeah, at least plan) few days before go for travel, seems am I so busy or just dam lazy to start that.
It gives me no choice now, got to “work hard” to pack the stuff now, however shouldnt be much things to bring, I should be carrying back much more things from Vietnam, with my full-filled stomach~~
