It was 8 years ago, i graduate from my secondary school.

When we graduate, we are around 17-18 years old, and we are first batch of students take the "SPM terbuka". i am lazy to explain what is SPM terbuka to those that dont know, please google it if you really want to know.

i remember that we told each other, we will have a classmate gathering few years after this. Maybe when we are 21 years old.

Now is 8 years after this, only few of us still keep in touch, and we never see each other for so many years. The guys have some gathering during chinese new year, and i doubt those ladies did the samething too.

For so many years, we started our own life, some of us may attached, work in other country, or just graduated. we have our new friends, colleagues, Bf, Gf, wife, husbond....

but...where is our classmate gathering.

I just chit chat with chuan xian, she suggested to setup a forum for all of us.

Forum?? ok i have everything, i can provide you domain name, i can provide you webhost space, but i need someone to be the moderater.

i cant afford to take care of another forum, i have my secret forum, i have fyb-style.com, and i have this blog...

Dear my classmate, leave your comment here, leave your email here, let me contact you ok?

let us setup the forum so that everyone can still get to know each other's latest news ok?

i will definetely setup the forum, but i hope it will not be a white elephant. since we have various reason that unable to have the classmate gathering, at least we have a virtual space for us to gather with each other.

dear my classmate, leave your comment here, if you have some beautiful name in your mind, let me know... as long as it is something ends with gaodim.com

e.g. ssaksi2000.gaodim.com, alrisha.gaodim.com

I have everything, but i need your word, if you still remember the word alrisha..says YES to me!!!!!!!

I never say much about my work in my blog,
let take this chance to talk, I am a Software Developer, or so call programmer, in a software house in singapore.

What is software house? basically software house is the company that propose & build I.T solution for others, just like your company may need a system to control all the stock movement, who/when/why took the stock, who/when the new stock delivered to your warehouse, that is where we come in and propose something to you, if you are satisfied with the proposal, then we got the deal, and start to work on it.
you may see this WIKI for software house,

What is Developer do? A developer will start to build the system base on the requirement from customer, a small company usually will be one-man-show from gather requirement, design the system, build the system and deploy it.
Those big software house will engage different people for these tasks, like Project Manager is to coordinate with customer, setup project schedule, and etc, solution architec will gather requirement from customer and design the application architecture, System Analyst will do detail design of each funtion in the system, the software developer will build the application base on the design.

I descript all this in very simple manner to make those non-IT related readers easier to understand. If you are from IT, you will definitely know more than this.

Basically i am quite like the feeling while i am doing coding, maybe for you this is very horible that we got to type few hundred or even thousand lines of code in a day, test, finetune, and etc, but i really enjoy it and sometime i am very high during coding.

I suddenly recall this show "Sword Fish" this afternoon, while i am very high during my coding with some rock music. You maybe can understand my feeling when i am coding, by watch this scene

Of course, this is a movie, and it is extremely exaggerated. The movie chew the scenery untill some people feel very boring & stupid. basically,
1. We working on plain text, all working layout is absolutely text based, we do not have the cube or any graphical interface just like the movie.
2. I will say something to myself, scold myself or even walk here and there when i am thinking.
3. Sometime  i also point my middle finger to my computer....
4. i listening to rock music while coding, So that i am in my own world.
5. finally, Yeah!~~ i will high on the coding process.

:P

Still remember when i am still secondary school, about 17-18 years old, my dad and i have a conversation.
Me : "Everyone have something that they are worring with"
Dad: "what? you also? i thought you are so happy everyday."
Me : "Of couse i have something to worrying with, but i just don't show it on my face"

I already forgot why we started the conversation.

Why i say this here? because the same conversation repeated again few days ago, when i told my team mate, Peishi, i am worring on some personal things.

Peishi : "What? you looks so happy everyday."
Me : "i don't really show everything on my face."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, we are living in a society. The society are affecting us, we are affecting the society also.

Imagine everyday i show my black face on work, sure everyone will not feel confortable.

Imagine i show my black face at home, sure my wife will not happy with.

Authought sometime i do so, but i was trying my best to avoid it.

Do not let your bad mood affect anyone, expecially those people that you love, or love you.

I got to say sorry to anyone that really been offended by me.

I will try to control my temper, i was very hot temper when i am very young but now getting better.

Control your temper instead of let your temper control you.

Mistakes always come with Angry

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What do you think? have any thing to share? to make everyone better person?

Our company has a company canteen, there is where we have our lunch, if we are too lazy to walk out to the hawker center (64+4) that takes us about 5-10 mintes under the hot sun.

but the food in our canteen is really limited, other than thursday is chicken rice, the rest of day is usually few very standard dishes.

The canteen full with a very special smell, every time i step into it i felt it cut down my 50% of appetite.

Anyway, the canteen is not not suppose to be the main topic today.

The story started from there is one day, our boss is back and he fetch all of us with his car out to lunch.

While we reached the
hawker center (Pasir Ris Centre), suddenly i dont know what i should order, Boss start to laugh at me.
Boss : "Don't know what to eat? are you too used to canteen food from office?"
Me : "Nope, i HATE that."
Boss : "Then i think you are too used with No Choise, "
Me : "maybe...."

2 things here
1. If you are too used with something, you may refuse to accept other things, even those are better than what you are too used for.
2. Choice to choose always very difficult, but you can start with another Choice, that is, are you want to choose.

Abit nonsence but think about it.

That is my feeling now, will share with you more after i make my decision.

September 10, 2007 (Computerworld) -- Skype Ltd. warned its users today that a worm targeting Windows PCs is spreading through the service's instant messenger, making the Voice over IP (VoIP)'s chat software the latest to come under the hacker gun.

Dubbed Ramex.a by Skype spokesman Villu Arak -- but pegged Pykspa.d by Symantec Corp. -- the worm takes a typical instant messenger (IM) line of attack: After hijacking contacts from an infected machine's Skype software, it sends messages to those people that include a live link. Recipients who blithely click on the URL -- which poses as a JPG image but is actually a download to a file with the .scr extension -- wind up infected.

"The chat message, of which there are several versions, is cleverly written and may appear to be a legitimate chat message, which may fool some users into clicking on the link," said Arak in an alert on the Skype site.

Arak also listed instructions for removing the worm from infected PCs, but they included changes to the Windows registry, a chore most users are hesitant to try.

Ramex.a/Pykspa.d injects code into the Explorer.exe process to force it to run the actual malware -- a file named wndrivsd32.exe -- periodically, wrote an infected user on a Skype message forum today. The worm also plugs in bogus entries in the Windows hosts file so that installed security software won't be able to retrieve updates.

It may also modify the list of programs allowed to call up Skype, according to a moderator on Skype's Windows support forum. "You may additionally need to check your approved programs that work with Skype," said the user identified as TheUberOverlord. "If you see something that looks strange REMOVE it," he added. The list of approved programs can be found under Tools/Options/Privacy/Related Tasks in Skype 3.0.

As of early today, detailed information from anti-virus vendors was scanty.

Symantec, for instance, while listing Pykspa.d as a new threat, said in its write-up only that it is investigating. Several security companies, however, including Symantec, F-Secure Corp. and Kaspersky Lab Inc., have already updated their signature definitions to detect and delete the new malware.

Skype is only the latest IM client to feel the heat from hackers. Both Yahoo Messenger and Microsoft Corp.'s MSN/Live Messenger have been struck this summer. Exploit code designed to hijack Windows PCs running Yahoo Messenger appeared as early as June, and Yahoo has been forced to patch the IM client several times since. Microsoft, meanwhile, has scheduled fixes for its MSN Messenger and Windows Live Messenger software for tomorrow, presumably to quash a webcam bug that was disclosed late last month.

Do you know what is the icon means?

I think most of the people will say..this is RSS, then the following question is..what is rss?

It is really fun that when i have new things to learn...i believe for those people that never come to this will never know how powerful is RSS.

Basically RSS
is An XML format for sharing content among different Web sites such as news item or blog entry.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A RSS document can called as "feed", "web feed", or "channel".

The initials "RSS" are used to refer to the following formats:

  • Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
  • RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
  • Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a lot of free RSS reader out there, such as
1. Google RSS Reader
2. some off line tools also available here
3. PDA version
4. OMG there is even JAVA version for most of mobile phone.

So guess what?
Now i can view the news, my favorites blogs and most of my lovely forum(if they support) from my PDA. what i need to do is click UPDATE button when i am connected to internet. after that i can have my own time to read it.

I really learning more things after i setup my blogs....

Disgruntled customers used to have little recourse against poor service and broken promises.

But as angry clients increasingly turn to the Internet to settle scores, companies, independent retailers and everyday wrongdoers are learning that consumers can have the last word -- and often the last laugh. The Web has turned into a place where shame and humiliation are sometimes the strongest weapons in fighting scams and unfairness.

AOL got burned last week, for example, when an exasperated customer recorded and broadcast online a service representative's emphatic reluctance to cancel his service. Comcast Corp. fired a technician after a videotape surfaced purporting to show him asleep on a customer's couch. The clip became popular on Web sites such as amateur video site YouTube. People are also using the Internet to retaliate against common thieves and discourtesies. A popular blog on Friday posted voice mails from a man demanding that his date pay him back for half the dinner check after the romance fizzled. In June, a New York man posted pictures online of a girl who allegedly refused to return his friend's T-Mobile Sidekick that had been taken from a taxicab. The Web site became popular among other victims of cellphone theft, and it led to the girl's arrest. And there also was the South Korean woman who was humiliated last year when she didn't clean up the mess her dog left in the subway after a fellow train rider posted a photo of the incident on a popular Web site.

"There's no question that publicly shaming someone, whether it is a politician or a company, is the best way not only to get their attention but to change their behavior," said Jeff Chester, executive director for the District-based consumer-advocacy group Center for Digital Democracy. "People are going to be very sensitive to it."

Online disgrace creates so much buzz on blogs and in the media that companies are beginning to realize the devastating public relations effects brought on by these grass-roots expos?s, said Gemma Puglisi, assistant professor of communications at American University.

"This has been a wake-up call for these companies," she said. "The day where you send a little letter to the CEO is over. In the age of technology, you have to be even more careful of how you treat your customers because you don't know where they're going to go. Now everything's out in the open."

The Internet has long been a forum for rants about unsatisfactory service and faulty products. Just about every major retailer has a consumer-created counter-site that lists complaints, and dozens of all-purpose sites allow people to share their opinions on everything from apartment complexes to car dealers.

"I think the inherent nature of the Internet brings out the inner complainer in us," said Joe Ridout, a spokesman for Consumer Action, an advocacy group in San Francisco. "To get back at people who are out to steal or swindle, shaming may be a reasonable response."

There are so many anti-company sites that some customer service representatives are fighting back by starting their own sites to complain about annoying customers.

Such sites are also useful in showing a company's true character, Ridout said.

"Anything that produces more information, anything that penetrates this slickly manicured image, is useful information," he said.

The rise of user-generated commercials gives angry consumers yet another opportunity to get their message on the Internet. In March, Chevrolet added a feature on its Web site that allowed visitors to piece together images and text to create an ad for its Tahoe sport-utility vehicle. But anti-SUV activists used the site to make a negative commercial condemning the vehicle for harming the environment.

Such watchdog-type content has "become invaluable as a way of checking on firms, as well as countering them," Chester said.

But even as these public-shaming campaigns continue to crop up, the well-oiled marketing machines of the targeted companies will overcome the negative publicity in the long run, he said.

"As the Internet becomes more ad-supported, it's questionable if consumers and users will have any real clout," he said. "Will a Fortune 500 company hear the sound of one angry blogger in the digital forest?"

Kenneth send me something unbelievable on internet.
Imagine you can pay a big sum of $ (i am talking about 20k-60k USD) to get a bride?

Somebody created this website
http://www.marryourdaughter.com/
for others to signup for their daughter, and let others "Choose" their daughter like choosing goods from email, with listed bridge price.

OMG....such thing happening nowdays....

and the best thing is, in their "Our Service", they declaire that they are following Biblical tradition.

Marry Our Daughter is an introduction service assisting those following the Biblical tradition of arranging marriages for their daughters.

Is that real? i am not sure, i am not Christian or Catholic, i am Buddhist...

I was thinking, shall i create this post...so regret that the second post of my blog is something that negative....

let me take this chance to learn a new word.

demoralize

1. To undermine the confidence or morale of; dishearten: an inconsistent policy that demoralized the staff.
2. To put into disorder; confuse.
3. To debase the morals of; corrupt.

From: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/demoralize

That is my feeling now, is a kind of deepest disappointment of life.

i demoralize because i don't know why..
is it i am bore with my life? my work? the people around me? my responsibilities? my choice?

i don't know.

i did discuss with singpoh, my senior, a very friendly, hamble & helpful father.
He said, maybe there is something i dont like that mix with the thing i like.
Just i like to clean my house, but suddently someone bring me a dog, and i have to starting to clean dog shit, care of the dog...and end up i find myself bored with everything...

Yes and no..who knows?

Maybe go for a holiday will cure me...

  2. SCREAM out my feeling.
  3. Share something that i think that is worthley share.
